Well, French’s original crispy onions are an iconic food classic, remember the green bean casserole we all grew up on! Try the Crunchy Onion Chicken! I added 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese. Oh, and a pinch of cornstarch in the egg makes it stick better. These baked up nice and crispy, beautiful color and the chicken juicy and tender. We served over romaine lettuce, some shredded parmesan cheese, roasted fresh grape tomatoes and a little ceasar dressing! Great weekend night treat. Enjoy.
Roasted fresh grape tomatoes: Cut one pint or more (they cook up so more the merrier) of grape tomatoes in half lengthwise. Allow to rest for 30 minutes to allow some of the liquid to drain off. Prep a cookie sheet with cooking spray. Season the tomatoes with your favorite seasonings. We use thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Spray the tomatoes lightly with the cooking spray. Cook at 400 degrees, 30 minutes, or until they have some nice char color. Enjoy.
